Indoor Tanning Bill Update (February 13, 2012)
Thanks to the efforts of WSDA members and supporters, SB 6249 -- which prohibits the use of indoor tanning devices by minors – made it through the Senate Labor, Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee and is now in the Rules Committee, hopefully to be voted on by Feb. 14. If you have not done so already, please contact your legislators now to encourage them to support the bill. You can identify your legislators here. By personally calling or emailing your legislators, WSDA members can demonstrate the importance of passing this legislation and regulating the tanning industry in our state. Please spread the word to your patients and others who can help us make a difference! Read the bill.
